4 Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or 5 rude. Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do. 6 Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. 7 Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. 8 Love never fails!
Everyone who prophesies will stop, and unknown languages will no longer be spoken. All that we know will be forgotten.
9 We don't know everything, and our prophecies are not complete. 10 But what is perfect will someday appear, and what isn't perfect will then disappear. 11 When we were children, we thought and reasoned as children do. But when we grew up, we quit our childish ways. 12 Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror. Later we will see him face to face. We don't know everything, but then we will, just as God completely understands us. 13 For now there are faith, hope, and love. But of these three, the greatest is love.
Verse 7 especially struck me ... Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting.

A Race and a Fight
24 You know that many runners enter a race, and only one of them wins the prize. So run to win! 25 Athletes work hard to win a crown that cannot last, but we do it for a crown that will last forever. 26 I don't run without a goal. And I don't box by beating my fists in the air. 27 I keep my body under control and make it my slave, so I won't lose out after telling the good news to others.

12 When you sin by hurting a follower with a weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

31 It won't make any difference how much good you are getting from this world or how much you like it. This world as we know it is now passing away.
Being comfortable in this world or happy in this world is not what good is concerned about ... it is the next life ...

Thursday, July 7 - 1 Corinthians 3
10 God was kind and let me become an expert builder. I laid a foundation on which others have built. But we must each be careful how we build, 11 because Christ is the only foundation. 12-13 Whatever we build on that foundation will be tested by fire on the day of judgment. Then everyone will find out if we have used gold, silver, and precious stones, or wood, hay, and straw. 14 We will be rewarded if our building is left standing. 15 But if it is destroyed by the fire, we will lose everything. Yet we ourselves will be saved, like someone escaping from flames.
These are interesting verses ... I was always under the impression that it is talking aboutyou as an individual and your character and acts of service ... but it is talking about how you evangilise and disciple people ... that is what Paul was building ... Godly people ... we must be careful how we build ... so it is how we build into other people that will be tested ... interesting thoughts

28 What the world thinks is worthless, useless, and nothing at all is what God has used to destroy what the world considers important.
I am struggling right now ... trying to figure out what God wants me to do. God what do you want me to do?
I am being pulled in so many directions ... work ... church ... family ... personal interests ...
God help me
