John 2

23 In Jerusalem during Passover many people put their faith in Jesus, because they saw him work miracles. 24 But Jesus knew what was in their hearts, and he would not let them have power over him. 25 No one had to tell him what people were like. He already knew.

These are very interesting verses ... we are so wicked ...

John 1.29-51

Jesus had such a huge impact on the first disciples ... Andrew was following John around heard John say "Here is the Lamb of God!"

So they decided to follow Jesus instead ...

This text has two examples of friendship evangilism ... Andrew inviting his brother Simon (who was called Peter), and Phillip inviting his friend Nathanael ...

I need to get back to my first love, when I would insist people come meet my friend Jesus ...

Year of the Bible - Monday, October 25:
John 1.1-28
12 Yet some people accepted him and put their faith in him. So he gave them the right to be the children of God. 13 They were not God's children by nature or because of any human desires. God himself was the one who made them his children.

1 Timothy 4

12 Don’t let anyone make fun of you, just because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity.

This has been my life verse.

Year of the Bible - Friday, October 8:

Hebrews 12.1-13

10 Our human fathers correct us for a short time, and they do it as they think best. But God corrects us for our own good, because he wants us to be holy, as he is. 11 It is never fun to be corrected. In fact, at the time it is always painful. But if we learn to obey by being corrected, we will do right and live at peace.

Hebrews 11.8-19

7 Because Noah had faith, he was warned about something that had not yet happened. He obeyed and built a boat that saved him and his family. In this way the people of the world were judged, and Noah was given the blessings that come to everyone who pleases God.

Hebrews 10.32-11.7

6 But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for him.
